YOU CAN GIVE YOUR ZAKAT AND SADAQA!

Viva Palestina USA wants to facilitate your desire to satisfy your Zakat obligations or to give with Islamic intention your Sadaqa and we are able to do so!

Please provide a check or cash only, and indicate (either on the front of the check or in an attached note) that you intend to give your zakat ul-mal or your sadaqa. We will keep these funds separate and use them for purchases that satisfy the righteous goal of your intention.

OTHER THAN DIRECT FUNDS, WHAT ELSE CAN YOU DO?

WE ARE IN NEED OF THE FOLLOWING ITEMS IMMEDIATELY!!!  Please let us know if you can send any of these items to our volunteers to take with them on the convoy!

  • CAMPING SUPPLIES - Tents, sleeping bags, camping stoves, etc.
  • LAPTOP COMPUTERS
  • INTERNATIONALLY COMPATIBLE MOBILE PHONES
  • GPS NAVIGATION SYSTEMS - Uploaded with international maps
  • CB RADIOS - To install in the vehicles in the convoy
  • POWER CONVERTERS - Especially vehicle to household converters
  • MEDICAL KITS

All of these items will be used as necessary along the way, but left in Gaza for use in their medical clinics/hospitals.

There are virtually DOZENS of creative ways to assist Viva Palestina USA in its goal to provide humanitarian relief to the people of Gaza!

For instance, you can:

  • Contact hospitals, clinics, pharmacies and physician's offices to gather non-expired, legal medicines and medical supplies, first aid kits, hygiene materials, prosthetics, and other medical assisting devices (e.g. wheelchairs, crutches, slings, casts).
  • Donate the cost of an airline ticket or donate your transferable frequent flier miles or airline vouchers
  • Donate the cost of a ship.
  • Attend the convoy as a media representative or photographer/videographer and document the convoy's journey and experiences and donate the final product to Viva Palestina for use or distribution.

TO BECOME A SPONSOR

We urge you to become a sponsor of the Viva Palestina USA convoy or of particular volunteers on the convoy!

Requested Viva Palestina sponsorship rates are as follows:

  • National Organizations - $1,000.
  • State Organizations - $500.
  • Local Organizations/Chapters & Individuals - $100.

In sponsoring Viva Palestina USA, you are not only becoming a part of the largest effort to distribute humanitarian aid into Gaza, but becoming part of a larger effort to create solidarity for Palestinian justice. With the purchase of one vehicle and by providing a banner to hang from it with your organization's name or logo, the world will see your organization's commitment to the people of Gaza, to the Palestinian cause, and to a more just and humane world.

To sponsor an individual on the convoy, simply coordinate with someone interested in going to find out how to help cover the costs of their travel and expenses.  In many cases, this amount will be less than $2,000 USD.  In that simple gesture, you will change the life of someone who is able to see with their own eyes the situation in Gaza and who will report back to you about their experience. It's the second best thing to going yourself!
